About Our Campsite

Pretty flowers and grasses are in full bloom at your feet, and if you listen carefully, you can hear the soothing chirps of birds perching in the lush trees that change their appearance with the seasons. Each of nature’s activities seems to quietly tell us of the wonderful works of God.

Our campground is located in a tranquil setting, not far from the historic Kyu-Karuizawa. You can gaze upon Mt. Asama which towers majestically overhead, giving us new impressions each time we visit. In the fall, the larch trees are tinged with red leaves, and in the winter they are covered with pure white snow; symbolic of Karuizawa.

Karuizawa is a place where the breathtaking nature of God’s creation and its sophisticated culture and history are in beautiful harmony.

At our campground, you can have a blessed time.

• A time of prayer in the quiet of the early morning.
• A time of peace and relaxation where you can laugh with friends and family.
• A time to get away from the daily routine, to rest your body and soul, and to take a deep rest.

Here, you will find a wealth of time to fulfill your needs.

Our hope is that this place will be a fruitful retreat for churches and various Christian groups to gather, learn, and deepen their fellowship. And that it will be a place where families and individuals can deepen their relationship with God and receive spiritual nourishment.

You will find a wide variety of things to do and see outside the campgrounds of Karuizawa.

• You can go skating, curling, and skiing in the winter season; or play tennis, golf, and cycle in the spring and fall!
• There are also plenty of museums, historical buildings and natural hot springs to visit!
